The Role: Business Development Representative
We’re hiring a focused Business Development Representative (BDR) to generate and qualify opportunities that feed our Sales Account Executives. This role will be the front line of our sales motion in Spain, owning outbound prospecting and rapid qualification of inbound leads so AEs can focus on closing. You’ll build pipeline, nurture prospects, and ensure smooth handoffs to the Sales Account Executive.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect proactively across target accounts via outbound email, phone, social selling (LinkedIn) and other channels to create qualified meetings.
- Qualify inbound leads quickly and thoroughly, converting MQLs into SQLs and booking discovery meetings / demos for AEs.
- Research target accounts and stakeholders to tailor outreach and messaging; build account lists and sequences.
- Maintain accurate activity and lead data in the CRM and update opportunity records to support reliable forecasting.
- Run and optimize outreach cadences using sales engagement.
- Collaborate closely with AEs, Marketing and Partner teams to align on target segments, campaigns, and messaging.
- Participate in regular pipeline reviews and refine qualification criteria based on AE feedback.
- Attend industry events and webinars as needed to support lead generation and brand presence.
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of B2B sales development, inside sales, or lead generation experience in FinTech, ERP, or finance/compliance technology.
- Familiarity with indirect tax / VAT landscape and compliance requirements preferred.
- Proven success in outbound prospecting and achieving activity/meeting booking targets.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; confident on the phone and in virtual meetings.
- Experience using CRM systems, sales engagement and data research tools.
- Highly organized with strong research skills and attention to data hygiene.
