The Opportunity

If you are a driven, creative problem solver with both front-end and back-end knowledge, Maropost invites you to join as a Web Development Manager - Canada. You will lead a team of developers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and oversee both the technical execution and business performance of our websites.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and maintenance of multiple secure, scalable websites
  • Define and execute web strategy including SEO, UX, and conversion optimization
  • Manage and mentor a team of web developers while establishing best practices
  • Oversee coding standards, architecture decisions, and development workflows
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and design teams for new features and campaigns
  • Monitor website performance via analytics tools and provide actionable insights
  • Manage timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 4-6 years of industry experience in web development
  • Expertise in building responsive websites using Hubspot, Wordpress CMS, PHP, Vagrant, HTML5, NPM, JavaScript, SASS, AJAX, Git, Lazy.js, Slick, and jQuery
  • Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Backbone, Vue.js, Angular)
  • Understanding of testing and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Hotjar, Matomo, Mixpanel)
  • Experience with web architecture frameworks like Bootstrap and Animate.css, plus SVG animation integration
  • Excellent project management, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours for events and specific projects
