Overview

The Administrative Assistant role at Marberg Staffing is for a community services agency client located in downtown Toronto. This is a temporary position from November 24, 2025 to February 6, 2026 with potential extension.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative, customer service, and clerical support for client intake operations.
  • Manage telephone inquiries and relay messages appropriately.
  • Update and maintain both hardcopy and electronic records.
  • Compose, format, proofread, and distribute various documents.
  • Prepare reports and statistical records using databases or spreadsheets.
  • Administer payment programs and liaise with relevant departments.
  • Take minutes in meetings and follow up on action items.
  • Offer ad hoc technical support and perform various clerical tasks.
  • Act as backup for other administrative roles as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

Applicants should have a Secondary School Diploma with a minimum of 2+ years of administrative experience in a client-facing capacity. Experience in community services or healthcare administration is an asset. Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), excellent typing and data entry skills, and strong communication in English are required. Fluency in French is preferred along with any additional language skills.

Additional Requirements

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada with satisfactory documentation.
  • Ability to work 100% onsite, following health and safety policies.
  • Must complete AODA and OHSA training certification prior to assignment.
  • Subject to satisfactory background checks and technical evaluations.
