Responsibilities

The Quantitative Asset Management Analyst will play a key role on the New York team by institutionalizing and optimizing the portfolio management process. Key responsibilities include:

  • Institutionalize the opportunistic credit team’s portfolio management process for public and private credit investments.
  • Develop and implement processes to standardize portfolio management and reporting.
  • Prepare performance reports, commentary, and marketing materials for investors.
  • Collaborate with Investment, Finance, Risk, and IT teams to enhance reporting and decision making.
  • Manage quarterly valuation and portfolio reviews with internal colleagues and third-party service providers.
  • Utilize data-driven insights for evaluating performance and informing strategy adjustments.
  • Support the investment team in analyzing investment opportunities as needed.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from a top tier university along with 5-10 years of experience in private credit, asset management, investment banking, or general credit investments. The role requires experience in data ETL processes and proficiency with SQL, Tableau, and other data management tools. Strong quantitative, financial modeling, and analytical skills are essential, as is excellent attention to detail and interpersonal communication skills.

Compensation & Benefits

The base pay range for this role is $100,000 to $125,000, determined by experience and other factors. Marathon offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO, commuter benefits, and company provided lunches.
