What You'll Do
As a Senior Solutions Architect, Enterprise, you will serve as a trusted technical and business advisor. You will partner with customers to design, prototype, and deliver solutions on the Mapbox platform by connecting business needs with technical possibilities. You collaborate with account managers to lead technical engagements from discovery and design to validation and deployment, guiding customers in using Mapbox products strategically to achieve measurable business outcomes.
- Solution Architecture: Design and present scalable architectures using Mapbox SDKs, APIs, and services.
- Technical Discovery: Lead discussions to identify goals, challenges, and requirements.
- Prototyping & Proof of Value: Build and deliver proof-of-concept solutions demonstrating customer value.
- Pre-Sales Enablement: Partner with Account Executives to position technical differentiation and shape opportunities.
- Location Intelligence: Apply expertise in GIS, spatial data processing and business value.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate with developers, architects, and senior decision-makers.
- Customer Advocacy: Provide feedback to influence Mapbox product and engineering roadmaps.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on emerging technologies in mapping, visualization, mobility, and AI.
- Enterprise Support: Assist customers in On-Demand Logistics, Telecommunications, and Weather domains.
- Cloud & API Advisory: Advise on cloud-native architectures, back-office APIs, and client-side SDKs.
What We Believe Are Important Traits For This Role
This role requires over 8 years in solutions architecture, pre-sales engineering, or enterprise consulting with extensive customer-facing success. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field is preferred. Domain expertise in GIS, location intelligence, and geospatial data processing is crucial. Hands-on experience in cloud platforms, web and mobile technologies along with strong solution selling, collaboration, and communication skills are required.
