Position Overview: Electrical Maintenance Technician Specialist

This role supports operation, repair, and optimization of critical electrical systems in a fast-paced logistics facility. The candidate will lead complex maintenance initiatives and mentor junior team members while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced repairs, diagnostics, and installations on electrical systems.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for electrical systems.
  • Lead troubleshooting of high-priority electrical issues.
  • Develop preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
  • Mentor junior technicians via hands-on demonstrations and workshops.
  • Collaborate with engineering and external contractors on upgrades.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work orders and schematics.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, and internal safety policies.
  • Respond to emergency issues promptly.
  • Assist with procurement and inventory management of components.
  • Continuously recommend process improvement and energy efficiency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years in facilities or equipment maintenance.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical and automated systems.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, BAS, and control systems.
  • Familiar with diagnostic tools, CMMS software and OSHA standards.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Certifications in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems.
  • Experience with energy management or green building tech.
  • Project leadership and mentoring experience.
  • Knowledge of warehouse or logistics maintenance operations.
  • Strong root cause analysis skills.

Technology Requirements

  • Experience using CMMS and BAS systems.
  • Skilled with diagnostic tools and technical software.
