AWS Customer Onboarding Engineer at MANTECH

MANTECH is seeking a motivated, career, and customer-oriented AWS Customer Onboarding Engineer to join our team. This is a remote position that supports a critical endeavor to redefine how our customer, Naval Sea Systems, delivers AWS cloud services to its constituents. This role is pivotal in assisting both existing and new applications in migrating to or being built within the AWS environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct technical kickoff meetings and subsequent follow-on meetings to facilitate AWS adoption.
• Gather comprehensive requirements and translate them into future-state architecture diagrams and other essential documentation.
• Collaborate effectively with fellow engineers in developing Infrastructure-as-Code (OpenTofu) for environment and application deployment.
• Consult with prospective customers, offering expert architectural guidance that adheres strictly to AWS best practices.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies as an integral member of a high-performing Agile engineering team.
• Create, maintain, and regularly update all required relevant system documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related STEM discipline with 4+ years of relevant experience in cloud engineering/solution architecture, OR a High School Diploma with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Must possess an associate-level AWS certification (e.g., AWS CSAA) or be committed to obtaining one within 90 days of hire.
• Must obtain a DoD 8570 Computing Environment certification within 6 months of hire.
• Familiarity with foundational AWS data-related services (e.g., Aurora, Redshift, RDS, Quicksight).
• Demonstrated superior customer service and strong soft skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid AWS Certified Solution Architect Associate certification.
• 1+ years of practical Terraform experience.
• Experience working with GitHub or similar version control systems and Git.
• Previous consulting background.

Clearance Requirements

• Must hold an active Secret security clearance.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Occasional movement within the office to access various equipment.
• Frequent communication with colleagues, management, and customers, including presentations.
• Ability to accurately exchange information.
