Key Account Manager - Boston/New England

Position Summary

The role supports Afrezza’s commercial growth within Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), Academic Medical Centers (AMCs), and Pediatric Endocrinology Centers. Reporting to the Regional Director of Key Accounts (East), the incumbent will execute territory-specific account plans, manage institutional engagements and align tactics with broader regional and national strategies.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Account Engagement & Execution: Build and manage relationships with clinical, administrative, and pharmacy decision-makers.
  • Protocol & Pathway Integration: Support inclusion of Afrezza in treatment protocols, care pathways, and formularies.
  • Tactical Account Planning: Develop detailed account plans; maintain up-to-date profiles.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Sales, Market Access, Trade, Field Reimbursement, Medical Affairs, and Patient Support teams.
  • Pull-Through Support: Execute strategies to ensure patient access post formulary inclusion.
  • Market Insights & Reporting: Provide feedback on access barriers, opportunities and competitor activity.

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience with 2–3 years in a key account role.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.
  • Proven success with IDNs, AMCs or large group practices.
  • Understanding of formulary processes, care delivery models, and account-based selling.
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Field based role requiring regular in-person engagements and travel (50%-75%).
