Overview
The Commercial Payments Sr. Inside Sales Account Manager is responsible for the ongoing management of merchant and card relationships. The role focuses on strategic partnering to retain, grow and cross sell products and services.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as primary point of contact for commercial card or merchant services clients.
- Manage and grow the assigned portfolio with a focus on retention and satisfaction.
- Mine client lists for incremental spend opportunities.
- Monitor client spend and leverage VISA benchmarking and internal analytics.
- Guide clients towards self-sufficiency with payment processes.
- Collaborate with Treasury Management and Commercial Card Consultants.
- Participate in product and service pricing using industry experience.
- Expand revenue streams and assist in achieving sales goals.
- Promote technology enhancements and cross sell services to enhance client stickiness.
- Establish routine client communications to ensure ongoing growth.
- Follow compliance and operational risk controls per company and regulatory standards.
- Maintain internal controls and respond to internal, external and regulatory audits.
Scope and Impact
This position contributes to the revenue generation and expansion of M&T Bank's Commercial Card business and supports overall department sales strategies.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of relevant sales experience (or 9 years combined experience in lieu of a degree).
- Previous account management experience preferred.
Compensation and Location
Pay range: $85,104.04 - $141,840.07 annually (USD). Location: Clanton, Alabama, United States.
