The Role
The Risk & Controls Analyst – M&G Life position supports the Risk Manager in providing assurance and risk oversight for our material outsourcers. The role works within the Risk, Assurance and Remediation team in the Life Division with a blended work arrangement (2-3 days in our Stirling office and the remainder remote).
Key Responsibilities
- Apply M&G’s Operational Risk Framework and maintain risk documentation.
- Assess and monitor control environment metrics and perform risk-based control testing.
- Participate in assurance reviews and quality assurance oversight.
- Drive proactive risk management through root cause analysis and design action plans.
- Communicate findings to senior management and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Risk management and supplier oversight in regulated financial services.
- Quality assurance and control methodologies in operational environments.
- Experience in controls assurance, testing, and implementing oversight methodologies.
- Strong analytical, communication, and influencing skills.
- Working knowledge of life and pensions products; familiarity with BaNCS is preferred.
