Role Overview

The Vice President Investment Data Services role is part of the Investment Operations function and is key to ensuring that business-critical data requirements for the global business are met accurately and timely. The role involves liaising with internal and external stakeholders, managing large datasets, maintaining data quality controls, and driving process improvements using tools like VBA and SQL.

Primary Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with UK-based team and stakeholders to verify data.
• Understand asset classes and fund types managed by M&G.
• Manage sustainability/ESG data sets and core system requirements.
• Investigate data quality issues and implement controls.
• Support workflow coordination, audit queries, and risk mitigation.

Additional Responsibilities

Manage team workflow, measure efficiency, and suggest process improvements. Implement systems, controls and procedures in line with regulatory and organisational changes, ensure disaster recovery plans are in place, and support team training and cross-training.

Key Stakeholder Management

Internal stakeholders include Process Managers, Risk and Compliance Teams, and India Management. Externally, the role interacts with UK Portfolio Managers, Product Specialists, Dealers & Trading desks, and Sustainability Leads.

Domain and Technical Expertise

• Deep understanding of the investment business and instruments across asset classes.
• Experience with sustainability data sets in asset management.
• Familiarity with BlackRock Aladdin and Bloomberg/Reuters applications.
• Technical certification in SQL and VB Script and proficient in Microsoft Office and Power BI.
