About the role

About the Role

As a Security Engineer Intern, you'll work across our full stack — product, infrastructure, and processes — to build security controls and shape how we do security at Maki.

What You'll Work On

  • Contributing to product security — from how we handle data to how we design and ship features
  • Building security tooling and automation in our CI/CD and IaC pipelines
  • Running code analyses and intrusion tests on our applications and infrastructure
  • Working on AI security challenges firsthand — including protecting our Voice AI services against prompt injection
  • Supporting Maki in achieving security certifications and meeting customer and regulatory requirements

  • You're comfortable reading and writing code — Python, Go, or TypeScript preferred
  • You know how to communicate clearly, take a step back when needed, and work openly with the people around you
