Overview
Major League Baseball (MLB) is seeking a highly organized Project Coordinator Business Operations & Logistics to join its Business Ops & Logistics Team. This role serves as a critical bridge between business strategy and technical execution, driving efficiencies across infrastructure projects powering MLB’s video distribution, replay systems, and ballpark technology.
Responsibilities
Procurement & Financial Logistics:
- Maintain End-to-End Procurement processes including vendor quotes and budget mapping.
- Support financial tracking with YTD cost trackers and PO systems.
- Collaborate with Finance for budget reconciliation and invoice processing.
- Create and manage BOMs for hardware requirements in Media Operations.
Project Coordination & Workflow Management:
- Track project lifecycles, task completion, and timelines.
- Develop and maintain project documentation and SOPs.
- Manage internal and external communications between teams and vendors.
- Attend planning sessions and provide follow-up notes and action items.
Operational Strategy & Risk:
- Identify and communicate project risks to leadership.
- Assist with feasibility studies, inventory management, and global deployment strategies.
- Work on vendor relations and enforce SLAs in cooperation with Legal.
- Monitor dashboards and generate weekly status reports on system health.
Qualifications & Skills
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree and has advanced proficiency in Excel and collaboration tools (e.g., Asana, Google Workspace, Confluence, Jira, or ServiceNow). A logistics mindset, exceptional organizational skills, clear communication abilities, and a basic knowledge of MLB operations are essential. Flexibility to adapt to live event schedules is a plus.
Salary & Additional Information
This role offers an hourly rate between $27.00 and $33.00. MLB considers various factors including experience, education, and skills. Applicants in California and Colorado should review the respective guidelines provided.
