Summary of the Clinical Oncology Pharmacist Role
The Clinical Oncology Pharmacist role at Maine Medical Center involves a critical review of medication orders to ensure safe and effective medication use for patients. This position requires active collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals, working together to achieve optimal patient outcomes. You will be responsible for formulating precise medication recommendations, grounded in current literature and evidence-based practice.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Education: A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a PharmD degree from a recognized/accredited school or college of pharmacy is required.
- License/Certifications: A current applicable state(s) license with the Board of Pharmacy is mandatory.
- Experience: Previous pharmacist experience is preferred.
