Senior Engineer - Perceived Quality

The Senior Engineer is responsible for achieving world class Quality of Design in parts and vehicle assemblies. The role involves setting guidelines, reviewing design data and clay models, and ensuring consistent quality standards across multiple departments.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Achieve world class design quality in parts/assemblies approved by the Design Studio.
  • Set guidelines for Design Appearance Quality (DAQ).
  • Review clay models, CAS/CAD data, tools, parts, and assemblies, providing timely input.
  • Deliver DAQ reports with clear acceptance/rejection criteria.
  • Interface with Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier, and Tooling departments to maintain quality standards.
  • Build and maintain DAQ standards by upgrading quality knowledge and training stakeholders.
  • Plan and coordinate DAQ reviews and prepare Appearance Approval Reports (AAR).

Experience & Qualifications

4 to 5 years of relevant experience in the industry is preferred. A BE/B.Tech is required.
