Position Overview

This Engineer - Autonomy Test and Validation role is responsible for testing and validating systems that enable autonomous driving. The key responsibilities include conducting on-road tests, data logging, data analysis, tuning parameters, and creating test/validation reports. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize system strategies, integrate sensors and actuators, and ensure safe AD system functioning. You will also coordinate New Mobility initiatives with internal teams, suppliers, and academia.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Evaluate technologies and product designs per engineering and company standards.
  • Support development from concept through prototyping, testing, and evaluation.
  • Design and conduct research programs applying scientific principles.
  • Analyze experimental data and propose improvements to components and systems.
  • Coordinate sub-contracted work and ensure timely project completion.
  • Provide support and maintain documentation and filing systems.
  • Engage in vehicle-level testing, sensor integration, and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

1-3 years of relevant work experience in testing and validation, especially in vehicle test & validation of ADAS/AD systems. Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting test setup issues. Must be motivated to learn new technologies, with good interpersonal skills and a team-oriented attitude.

Education / Experience

Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Aerospace, or Robotics). Automotive OEM or Tier-1 experience is a plus.

Special Knowledge / Skills

Experience in test & validation of ADAS systems such as ACC, AEB, LKA; familiarity with CANape, CANalyzer, Matlab/Simulink; limit handling driving; strong English communication skills; and a valid driver license in Ontario, Canada.

Worker Type

This is a fixed-term contract position for 9 months, with a possibility of extension.
