Overview
We are looking for experienced Math and ELA educators or subject matter experts to review assessment items for Kindergarten through Grade 12. The Math & ELA Item Reviewer K-12 role involves reviewing test questions to ensure they are accurate, clear, grade-appropriate, and aligned with curriculum standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review Math and ELA assessment items for K–12 grade levels
- Ensure questions are accurate, clear, and aligned with academic standards
- Verify grade-level appropriateness and difficulty level
- Identify and correct issues related to:
- Content accuracy
- Language clarity
- Formatting
- Answer choices
- Revise items where possible or return them to writers if significant issues are found
- Work directly within the assessment platform to review and update items
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Mathematics, English, or related field
- Experience teaching K–12 Math or ELA
- Familiarity with K–12 curriculum standards (Common Core or state standards)
- Experience with assessment development or item review is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to review content carefully
