Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Flight Operations and Logistics, the Flight Operations Advisor guides daily flight operations in the Client Services Department. The role ensures safety, compliance, and an exceptional client experience by managing operations, coordinating with internal teams, and liaising with external operators.
Essential Functions
- Conduct proactive feasibility checks for trip requests including aircraft performance, airport restrictions, weather, and regulatory requirements.
- Review and manage itinerary changes while ensuring safety and compliance.
- Perform safety background checks on flight crews and aircraft.
- Communicate with aircraft operators and oversee active trip flight-following.
- Identify and resolve flight deviations in coordination with internal teams.
- Offer operational and regulatory guidance to Client Experience and other teams.
- Support training seminars and present operational insights as needed.
- Represent Flight Operations in daily stand-ups and company meetings.
Competencies
The ideal candidate should have an aviation operations background, a strong grasp of FAA regulations and weather impacts, excellent multitasking skills, and a keen attention to detail. Effective communication and collaboration, a professional customer service focus, and the ability to solve problems under pressure are essential.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This office-based role includes one remote work day per week, requires extended periods of sitting, occasional movement around the office, frequent computer use, and some lifting of office supplies.
Position Type, Hours & Travel
This is a full-time exempt role, typically working five days per week (including one remote day) with occasional weekend/evening hours and limited overnight travel for industry events.
