About the Role
Magellan Federal is seeking a dedicated On-site Home Visitor (RN/BSN-LCSW/LMFT) to provide crucial support to military families at JBLM, Washington. This role focuses on supporting expectant parents and parents of children from birth to 3 years old. By offering services such as information and referrals, parenting programs, respite care, and supervised play, you will directly contribute to military mission readiness by enhancing family adaptation to military life and fostering safe, nurturing environments for children, thereby preventing family violence. Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective, timely, and confidential services to families assessed as at risk for child maltreatment or family violence.
- Protect the privacy and confidentiality of all client information.
- Identify and report suspected child abuse, neglect, and domestic abuse.
- Assess developmental milestones and identify indicators of special needs or developmental delays, facilitating appropriate referrals.
- Assess and strengthen parental capacity for problem-solving, relationship building, and seeking help.
- Promote developmentally appropriate parenting skills, disciplinary techniques, and parent-child communication.
- Facilitate informal and formal community networks to build positive relationships and reduce social isolation.
- Develop relationships with local community and military installation officials to maximize program effectiveness.
- Utilize community-based services and networks to provide concrete support for families in crisis.
- Employ methods for assessing and addressing protective and risk factors associated with child abuse and neglect using a strengths-based, family-centered developmental approach.
- Maintain an up-to-date tracking system for case status.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and annual training events.
Job Requirements
- At least two (2) years of direct work experience in child abuse or domestic abuse, maternal or child health, or medical social work.
- Must hold a current and active license as an LCSW, LMFT, or RN.
- Licensed Clinical Social Workers must possess a current, valid, unrestricted clinical license and a master’s degree in Social Work.
- Registered Nurses must have at least a bachelor’s degree in nursing, a current unrestricted license in one of the States or U.S. territories, and at least two (2) years of direct work experience in relevant fields.
- Must have home visitation experience.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to operate general office equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work effectively under time pressure and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel as needed and adhere to AFSC travel policies.
- Ability to enter private homes, which may have varying accessibility.
- Must be able to transport self between office locations, private homes, and other facilities for training and program activities.

Salary Range: $58,440 - $93,500 annually
This position may be eligible for short-term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
