As a Product Designer at J.Crew Group, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of customer interaction with our brands. You will lead design initiatives across web, mobile, and in-store platforms, transforming complex challenges and sometimes fuzzy requirements into elegant, user-friendly designs. This role requires a strong voice within cross-functional teams, advocating for the customer, defining product vision, and delivering high-quality work from conception to launch. The ideal candidate balances strategic thinking with meticulous attention to detail, using research, brand insights, and business context to guide their work, acting as both a problem-solver and a storyteller.
What You’ll Do
- Design customer experiences across all brand touchpoints.
- Translate research insights and data into intuitive, beautiful UX.
- Map out customer journeys, identify friction points, and design effective solutions.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and creative teams.
- Contribute to and evolve our design systems, aligning with each brand's personality.
- Present design work clearly to diverse audiences, from teammates to executives.
- Help shape product roadmaps with a customer-first mindset.
- Coach other designers and elevate the team's overall design quality.
What You Bring
- A portfolio showcasing thoughtful, impactful design work across web and mobile.
- Solid understanding of UX fundamentals, interface design, and visual design principles.
- Proficiency in Figma and experience rapidly prototyping ideas.
- Familiarity with iOS design patterns and best practices.
- Basic comprehension of front-end code and effective collaboration with engineers.
- Experience with AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot).
- Exceptional communication skills, both written, visual, and verbal.
- Curiosity, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit.
This role reports into the VP of Digital Experience for J.Crew Group.

Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $97,600.00 - $126,300.00. J.Crew Group aims to pay competitively within its size and industry. The base salary offered will consider internal equity, geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This base salary is part of a comprehensive total rewards strategy, which also includes potential for bonuses, competitive benefits and perks.
