Work on a vibrant university campus engaging students in sports programs

Broad role working across multiple sporting programs

Champion university sport, foster student belonging and deliver experiences that inspire participation and pride!

About The Role

Campus Life has an opening for a University Sport Coordinator to join the University Sport team at Macquarie University.

The University Sport programs include University Nationals, Inter-varsity and Inter-College competitions, the Sport Scholar Program and Sport Clubs. The team ensure that offerings will meet the evolving needs of the student community, will be innovative, and will contribute to a sense of belonging with the University.

What You’ll Do

Reporting to the University Sport Lead, you will coordinate Macquarie University’s participation in UniSport programs and events, including Nationals, Intervarsity competitions, and other key sport initiatives. You will collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders — including students, sport clubs, internal University teams, and external partners — to deliver inclusive, engaging, and well‑organised sporting experiences.

No two days are the same. One morning you might be meeting with UniSport representatives to finalise Nationals logistics, later supporting a student leadership group as they plan an Inter‑College event, and finishing the day preparing communications to promote participation to a diverse student cohort. On another day, you might be supporting sport scholars as they balance their sporting and academic requirements and attending UniSport Nationals training sessions, working closely with coaches and team leaders.
