About the Role
The Full Stack Developer at Macquarie University is responsible for developing, testing, deploying and maintaining Generative AI enabled solutions. You will ensure that the solutions align with strategic goals and meet stakeholder expectations for reliability, resilience and efficiency. You will also provide technical support and advice to users on these solutions.
You will be part of a newly created AI Enablement team within IT, integrating AI across various faculties and departments. This innovative role supports the university's strategic objectives by implementing and supporting AI initiatives and projects.
Main Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate design, development, and implementation of Generative AI solutions.
- Create Proof of Concept Gen-AI solutions in Azure or AWS.
- Develop and run automated test plans and monitor solutions.
- Deploy approved solutions and maintain performance dashboards.
- Develop and maintain documentation and solution templates.
- Engage with vendors and keep abreast of current AI technologies.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, EEO, and WHS regulations.
About You
You are a skilled Full Stack Developer with at least 5 years experience in developing AI-enabled solutions. Your expertise includes programming (Python, JavaScript, R), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience in NLP, intuitive front-end development, and incident response is essential. You are committed to professional growth and have relevant higher education experience. Desirable qualifications include Microsoft certifications and familiarity with frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex and prompt engineering.
