What role will you play?

As a Lead Data Engineer in the Manila Data and Analytics team, you will collaborate with traders, desk analysts, and central data teams to deliver data and analytics solutions across our Commodities and Global Markets business lines.

You will be the primary representative for Data Analytics in the APAC region, leading a team of engineers and providing technical guidance. Your role involves spearheading the development of key data analytics capabilities, including the data catalog, data science workbench, visualization tools, and real-time analytics. You will work extensively with our public-cloud based data lake and develop data pipelines for both internal operational and external market data. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in maturing our development practices within our agile team, continuously enhancing solution robustness and business responsiveness.

What You Offer

• 6+ years of experience in developing, debugging, and running Python code in production.
• Experience working with containers and deploying them in production, e.g., EKS.
• Proficiency in AWS Cloud services, e.g., IAM, S3, EC2, EKS.
• A passion for AI, Data, and automation.
• A self-starter and problem-solver, with effective communication skills.
• Experience managing people and building relationships within the business.
• Exposure to the following technologies is an advantage: Parquet, Iceberg, Trino, Redshift, Airflow, Hive, Dataiku.
