Join Macquarie Group's Banking and Financial Services Cloud Technology team as a Lead Cloud Engineer. You'll be part of a full lifecycle team dedicated to building and maintaining advanced automation tooling and creating industry-leading, distributed Kubernetes-based platforms. Your Impact as a Lead Cloud Engineer

In this critical role, you will provide technical leadership across the architecture, design, development, testing, and operations phases, delivering solutions incrementally. A key aspect of your contribution will be to influence and mentor fellow engineers in adopting and adhering to engineering best practices, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

What You Offer

• Go Programming Expertise: 2-5 years of hands-on experience with the Go programming language.
• Hyperscale Cloud Proficiency: 3+ years of experience with hyperscale cloud providers, particularly GCP, within enterprise environments.
• Platform Engineering Acumen: Strong background in platform engineering, specifically enabling cloud services for consumption by application teams.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with a knack for understanding and articulating stakeholder requirements.
• Production Support Experience: Proven real-world experience in supporting production applications.
• Infrastructure as Code & GitOps: Experience with GitOps (e.g., ArgoCD) and declarative infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Kustomize, Helm, Terraform).
• Secrets Management: Familiarity with secrets management platforms or technologies (e.g., Hashicorp Vault).
