What Role Will You Play?

As part of the Data DevOps team, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Testing, developing, and supporting data solutions.
  • Analyzing requirements, designing, and developing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Performing data validation and verification to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

In terms of development, you will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Build robust data solutions.
  • Implement data models, reports, and dashboards.
  • Optimise and tune SQL queries and database performance.

For support, you will:

  • Respond to and resolve escalated operational issues.
  • Participate in rostered support shifts and on-call duties as required.

What You Offer

To succeed in this Data Engineer role, you should possess:

  • 2 years of experience working with database platforms and data tools such as MSSQL, AWS RedShift, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and dbt.
  • Proven experience in business intelligence or other database technologies.
  • A strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data modelling.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to thrive in a globally dispersed team.

Experience with any of the following is an advantage:

  • Cloud-based data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Data governance and data quality best practices.
  • Data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Exposure to any AI tools.
