Data Analyst at Macquarie Group

The Anaplan Adoption and Engineering team at Macquarie Group specializes in the strategic implementation of Anaplan software to enhance treasury forecasting and projection capabilities. What Role Will You Play as a Data Analyst?

As a Data Analyst, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, developers, and data teams. Your primary responsibility will be to design and build sophisticated forecasting, stress testing, and scenario analysis models using Anaplan and related data systems. You will be instrumental in translating complex business processes and data requirements into effective, tangible solutions. This role involves active collaboration within a cross-functional team to deliver strategic improvements and provides broad exposure to, and opportunities to contribute to, the continuous uplift of Macquarie's treasury and finance capabilities.

What You Offer

  • 4+ years’ experience as a data or business analyst, including involvement in large-scale projects and a strong understanding of data concepts and principles.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with confidence in explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with treasury, finance, or stress testing forecasting processes.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau and experience with Anaplan or similar planning software is highly valuable.
