Overview

Mace is seeking a Senior Quality Manager to lead quality management across projects within a contract-led environment, particularly in the nuclear power sector. This position commences in November subject to approval.

Role Summary

The Quality Management Lead (QML) ensures that project quality requirements are met from contract award through to project close out. Main responsibilities include developing and implementing quality control plans, performing supplier audits, conducting manufacturing/construction surveillance, and ensuring adherence to quality certification processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy quality assurance and control arrangements.
  • Review, accept and monitor contractor quality assurance plans.
  • Create and implement Project Quality Control Plans (PQCP).
  • Act as Intelligent Customer by ensuring supply chain compliance.
  • Conduct audits and joint inspections with surveillance bodies.
  • Manage non-conformances and oversee corrective actions.
  • Support integrated management system and contract quality requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

Candidates must have significant experience in quality management in major projects, particularly within the nuclear or safety critical industries. A degree or equivalent in a relevant science or engineering subject is required. Professional accreditation, such as IRCA certified auditor, is an advantage.
