Job Description

Career with LVM: Growing Together

We are one of the largest employers in Münster, also in the IT sector.

Lead our insurance company into the digital future with over 700 IT colleagues. IT@LVM provides innovative and future-oriented IT support for our business processes, serving around 11,500 internal and external users and over 3.6 million customers nationwide – and growing. From application development to technical service and complete infrastructure, we consistently rely on many proprietary solutions and modern market technologies. Even as a career starter, you will have the opportunity to further develop our IT topics with your ideas.

We are looking for people who live our IT vision. Therefore, we are looking for you as an IT Operations Coordination Specialist.

Your Responsibilities

  • You analyze and evaluate problem situations and operatively coordinate problem management in IT operations.
  • The post-analysis of disruption situations in IT production is one of your tasks.
  • You establish sustainable measures to improve IT production stability and monitor their implementation.
  • You are responsible for overseeing the creation and maintenance of emergency plans for the continuity and recovery of LVM's critical IT systems.
  • You coordinate the introduction and optimization of IT service monitoring to oversee ongoing IT operations in collaboration with the relevant development team.
  • You take over the acceptance of IT solutions before going live as part of a quality gate.
  • As an interface between IT operations and ITSCM (IT emergency management), you actively participate in establishing operational emergency prevention and management, emergency documentation, and test coordination of operational emergency measures.
  • You actively contribute in close cooperation with relevant IT stakeholders, including operational information security management, user service, IT operations core teams, and infrastructure development.

Your Qualifications

  • You have a completed degree in Computer Science (diploma, bachelor's, or master's) or a comparable qualification.
  • You bring sound knowledge of IT infrastructure setup.
  • Knowledge of ITIL is an advantage.
  • You can reliably identify, analyze, and document complex relationships.
  • Initiative and commitment to new technical and professional challenges characterize you.
  • Your strengths include a user-oriented mindset and empathy regarding IT infrastructure failures impacting the business.
  • A high degree of understanding of IT monitoring and architecture frameworks completes your profile.

Your Benefits

Salary: We offer a collectively agreed salary (according to the collective agreement for the private insurance industry). Additionally, you receive Christmas and vacation bonuses, as well as comprehensive social benefits, including company pension schemes. Furthermore, a future-proof job awaits you.

Home Office: You can choose from various home office models, depending on the position and agreement with your manager. At least two days per week are planned at the LVM Campus. In addition to a full technical setup, you will receive a one-time home office lump sum of 800€ gross.

Work-Life Balance: Our flexible working time arrangement with a 38-hour week and 30 vacation days allows you to adjust your working hours between 7 AM and 8 PM by arrangement. Every overtime hour worked is, of course, paid out or can alternatively be compensated with free time.

Flexibility: In addition to our home office regulation, you have the option to use an additional ten days for mobile work within Germany or other EU countries. This promotes the compatibility of your professional and private goals.

Further Education: We attach particular importance to your personal and professional development and therefore offer tailor-made further training opportunities, both internally and externally.

Health: The well-being of our employees is very important to us. Therefore, we not only offer social counseling but also various health programs to help you stay physically and mentally fit. These include company sports and a subsidized EGYM Wellpass membership.

Onboarding: Structured onboarding and cross-departmental networking ensure that you feel well-integrated from the start.

Events: We attach great importance to a good working atmosphere. Therefore, company events are firmly planned, such as the annual cross-departmental carnival celebration at the Münster location.

Insurance: As an employee, you benefit from special rates and conditions for employees in the insurance industry.

Sabbatical: Take the opportunity for a sabbatical to allow yourself a three-month break for personal projects or travel and recharge your energy.

Company Restaurant: For refreshment, we have an excellent company restaurant with heavily subsidized prices.

Mobility: We support your mobility with a subsidy for a job ticket, the Deutschlandticket, and also offer bike leasing.
