About the Role
At Lumenalta, we partner with global enterprises to design and build large-scale data platforms that power digital products used by millions of users. Our work involves complex data ecosystems, cloud-native architectures, and high-volume, high-impact use cases.
We are seeking a Senior Solutions Architect - Databricks with deep Databricks and AWS experience to lead the design of scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions. This is a senior, hands-on architecture role with strong ownership over technical decisions and client-facing impact.
What You’ll Do
- Design end-to-end data architectures on AWS, with Databricks at the core.
- Own architectural decisions across data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and platform integrations.
- Translate complex business and product requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions.
- Define standards, patterns, and best practices for building with PySpark, Python, SQL, and Databricks.
- Act as a technical leader and advisor for engineering teams.
- Collaborate closely with product, data, and engineering stakeholders to ensure architectural alignment and long-term scalability.
- Review designs and implementations to ensure performance, security, reliability, and cost efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, solution architecture, or related roles.
- Proven experience designing enterprise-grade data platforms and architectures.
- Deep, hands-on expertise with: Databricks (production and architectural experience required), AWS, PySpark, Python and SQL.
- Strong understanding of: Distributed data systems, Cloud-native architecture principles and Data modeling and integration patterns.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
This is a fully remote position open to candidates based in Europe or regions with compatible time zones. To ensure effective collaboration with our client and team, candidates must maintain a 6-hour overlap with Eastern U.S. business hours.
