Role Overview

As a Senior Backend Engineer AWS at Lumenalta, you will design and implement robust backend systems ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient applications. You will collaborate closely with DevOps and frontend teams to deliver high-performance applications leveraging AWS cloud services and Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Backend Development: Build, maintain, and optimize backend systems using Python and AWS cloud integration.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design and deploy AWS infrastructure using EC2, Lambda, RDS, and S3 with a focus on scalability and security.
  • Kubernetes Orchestration: Manage containerized applications using Kubernetes for load balancing and scaling.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate infrastructure management using Terraform or AWS CDK.
  • Monitoring & Logging: Implement monitoring solutions using Grafana and Loki.
  • Collaboration: Work with DevOps, frontend, and product teams to ensure cohesive, scalable and secure applications.
  • Automation & Optimization: Automate workflows and improve performance for low-latency, high-availability systems.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of backend development experience focused on cloud-native applications.
  • Proficiency in Python for backend service development.
  • Extensive experience with AWS core services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Loki.
  • Proven expertise with IaC tools like Terraform or AWS CDK.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer, or SysOps).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment.
  • Knowledge of security best practices for cloud-native applications.
  • Familiarity with other cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP.
