The Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer Financial Systems with a strong background in financial systems and market data applications. You will ensure the quality and reliability of mission-critical applications across web, mobile, and API platforms. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to identify issues, design comprehensive test plans, and safeguard the user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Validate financial data functionality ensuring accuracy and system integrity
  • Diagnose application issues through log and server stats analysis
  • Collaborate with developers and DevOps to triage defects
  • Write detailed bug reports with supporting artifacts
  • Test backend integrations ensuring data accuracy across relational databases
  • Maintain test coverage in continuous integration environments
  • Document test cases, results, and defect trends
  • Contribute to quality best practices and mentor team members

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in QA across web, mobile, and API
  • Deep understanding of data/event-driven systems and coding
  • Experience with backend automation and JavaScript
  • Hands-on experience in financial systems and market data
  • Strong knowledge of Xpath, CSS selectors, HTML, XML, and JSON
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Informix, MySQL
  • Ability to analyze system logs and proactively flag issues
  • Experience in CI/CD environments with version control tools (Git)
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies and SDLC
  • Strong Linux skills and command line debugging
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Work Environment

This role is 100% remote. Ensure you have a comfortable office set at your desired work location.
