The Role

The Quality Assurance Engineer Financial Systems is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of mission-critical applications across web, mobile, and API platforms. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to identify issues, design comprehensive test plans, and safeguard the user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Validate financial data functionality ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Diagnose application issues using logs, server stats, and system behavior.
  • Collaborate with developers and DevOps to triage and resolve defects.
  • Write detailed bug reports with supporting artifacts for quick resolution.
  • Test backend integrations for data accuracy across multiple databases.
  • Maintain strong documentation of test cases, results, and defect trends.
  • Mentor peers on QA best practices across the SDLC.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of QA experience across web, mobile, and API testing.
  • Deep understanding of data/event-driven systems with coding experience.
  • Experience with backend automation, JavaScript, and financial systems.
  • Strong skills in Xpath, CSS selectors, HTML, XML, JSON and SQL.
  • Proficiency with relational databases like PostgreSQL, Informix, and MySQL.
  • Experience in CI/CD environments and version control (Git).
  • Solid QA methodologies and strong Linux command line skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.

Work Arrangement

This is a 100% remote position. Ensure you have a comfortable office set up at your desired work location.
