About the Capability Engineer Role
The Capability Engineer analyzes business potentials and establishes new product capabilities at Lufthansa Technik. Responsible for economic and technical feasibility studies, evaluating investments, and leading project teams, the role focuses on creating and improving production processes to meet TOP and business targets.
Tasks
- Establish new product capability in LTME’s production.
- Create and continuously improve LTME’s production processes.
- Evaluate business cases for technical and economic feasibility.
- Identify and define capability requirements.
- Lead and coordinate project teams for approvals.
- Monitor project progress and report results to management.
- Attend approval audits and ensure authority approval.
- Facilitate communication within project teams and support departments.
- Coordinate between LTME internal departments, external Lufthansa Technik entities, and third parties.
Requirements
- University degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering.
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in aviation related MRO business.
- Excellent technical knowledge and hands-on experience.
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
- In-depth knowledge of aviation authority regulations (EASA, GCAA, FAA).
- Experience in business case analysis, lean production, and change management.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, business fluent in English (German desirable).
- Advanced computer skills (MS Office, CAD).
