Role Overview: Data Engineer II, Test & Validation Labs, Battery
You will be joining the Powertrain Data and Automation Team to design, build, and maintain data pipelines supporting test and validation labs for battery systems. Your work ensures accurate, timely, and actionable data acquisition, transformation, and visualization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust data pipelines for lab operations.
- Design ETL processes and manage data acquisition systems.
- Create dashboards using tools like Tableau and Grafana.
- Collaborate with test engineers, validation teams, and developers.
- Integrate and deploy containerized applications using Docker and AWS.
- Implement EV industry protocols such as CAN, Modbus, and TCP/IP.
- Continuously optimize systems for performance and scalability.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in Python for ETL workflows.
- Strong familiarity with AWS cloud services.
- Proficient in Docker for containerization and deployment.
- Experience with EV communication protocols (CAN, Modbus, TCP/IP).
- Knowledge of database systems such as PostgreSQL and CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Experience
- Experience within the EV or automotive industry.
- Hands-on with test equipment, chambers, battery cyclers, or inverters.
- Understanding of SCADA systems integration with lab data pipelines.
- A creative approach to problem-solving in test and validation contexts.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Pay Range: $119,400—$164,230 USD annually. Competitive benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, vacation, 401k, and eligibility for equity/discretionary incentive programs.
