We are seeking a visionary and commercially-minded Head of Creative, US to lead and elevate the creative function across our growing US business. This role oversees the creative output across all US commercial teams, while shaping the future of our creative capability. Reporting to the US President, the US Head of Creative will lead a high-performing team of senior creative leaders, foster a culture of innovation and excellence, and play a critical role in driving new business growth. This individual will partner closely with US leadership to ensure our creative work not only inspires but delivers measurable impact for our clients. This is a highly visible leadership role requiring a balance of creative vision, operational rigor, team development, and commercial acumen.Responsibilities
Creative Leadership & Vision
- Define and drive the overall creative vision and standards for the US commercial business
- Ensure all work meets the highest level of strategic insight, creativity, and executional excellence
- Champion innovation across channels, platforms, and emerging technologies within healthcare marketing
Team Leadership & Development
- Directly manage and mentor a team of senior leaders across creative and editorial disciplines
- Build, inspire, and develop a high-performing, collaborative creative organization
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, feedback, and creative ambition
Commercial & New Business Growth
- Play a leading role in new business development, including pitches, RFP responses, and broader outreach efforts
- Partner closely with commercial leadership to shape compelling, differentiated proposals and elevate Lucid’s self-marketing and go-to-market presence
- Act as a senior creative voice in client engagements and growth opportunities, with the ability to step in and lead high-priority work or initiatives when needed
- Support the successful onboarding and creative setup of new business, ensuring strong foundations and continuity from win to delivery
- Lean into larger, cross-team creative initiatives that drive impact for key clients and contribute to overall business growth
Creative Operations
- Oversee the effectiveness and scalability of creative operations across the US
- Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, resourcing, and delivery
- Ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency across all creative output
Executive Leadership Collaboration
- Serve as a key member of the US leadership team, contributing to business strategy and growth
- Partner closely with senior leaders across the business to ensure creative is fully integrated into how we think, operate, and deliver
- Work collaboratively across disciplines to drive cohesive, high-impact solutions for clients
- Help shape the ongoing evolution of the US business through strong cross-functional leadership
- Partner with Global Creative leadership to align on ways of working and ensure seamless collaboration across the broader creative ecosystem, supporting consistency and operational excellence
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in a creative leadership role within an agency environment (healthcare, pharma/biotech, or related industries strongly preferred)
- Proven experience leading large, multidisciplinary creative teams, including senior leaders
- Strong portfolio demonstrating high-impact, strategically driven creative work
- Deep understanding of healthcare marketing, including life sciences and/or consumer health
- Demonstrated success in leading and winning new business pitches
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to balance creative excellence with operational and commercial priorities
- Experience working closely with executive leadership teams
