The Role
At Lucanet, we are transforming our CFO Solution Platform into a cloud-native, GenAI-powered SaaS offering. As a Senior Python Software Engineer, you will build scalable core platform services using Python, AWS, TypeScript and Terraform. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs while ensuring robust, testable, and maintainable code.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement scalable backend services for our SaaS ecosystem.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate requirements.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Python and OpenAPI/Swagger.
- Leverage AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, etc.) for secure and cost-efficient solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and advocate clean code and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and optimize performance in a serverless environment.
- Work in an agile setup with teams in Romania and Germany.
What You Bring
- Strong software engineering fundamentals: clean code, design patterns, and system design.
- Proficiency in Python for backend development; TypeScript is a plus.
- Experience in building RESTful APIs and comprehensive testing (unit, integration, E2E).
- Hands-on experience with AWS services and familiarity with IAM, KMS, JWT.
- Understanding of scalability, observability, and distributed systems design.
- Familiarity with AI coding assistants and modern development workflows.
- Bonus: Experience with Terraform, Docker, and advanced AWS services.
