Senior Quant Developer, Analytics Technology

Role Overview
As a Senior Lead Software Engineer within Analytics Technology at LSEG Data and Analytics Division, you will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and expanding applications and modules. Your focus will be on integrating modern technologies, cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS), and open-source solutions with existing products to achieve business objectives, support growth, and improve performance and efficiency.
Role Responsibilities:
- Collaborate within a medium-sized team of developers to create innovative solutions for customer technology needs.
- Develop and maintain a compute platform for financial models serving both external and internal clients.
- Maintain, design, and set up infrastructure to support various applications.
- Enhance existing compute infrastructure for performance, quality, and efficiency.
- Design, present, and collaborate with other teams on technical solutions for complex business and technical objectives.
- Work with large-scale data sources, including relational or NoSQL databases.
- Seamlessly migrate applications to the cloud without service disruption.
- Estimate timelines and resources for complex projects and collaborate for successful project completion.
- Build credibility and strong relationships with senior technical staff to foster common understanding and align development strategies with their challenges.
- Contribute to products used by leading financial institutions worldwide.
- Participate in strategic projects with significant impact on the business bottom line.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have 3+ years of experience developing C/C++ enterprise solutions (services, databases, etc.).
- 4+ years of overall work experience.
- 2+ years of experience working on large-scale projects.
- 3+ years of experience working in Linux/Unix environments.
- Working experience with Python or other high-level languages is required.
- Good communication, organization, and coordination skills.
- Proven experience working with global, multi-site, and multi-time zone teams.
- Experience in a software development lifecycle and delivery role.
- Excellent programming skills in C/C++ (Data Structures, networking, databases, services, etc.).
- Experience building and deploying C/C++ services to the cloud (e.g., K8s, Lambdas).
- Strong analytical background and quantitative skills.
- Experience with AWS or Azure cloud technologies & tools is a plus.
Key Relationships:
- Report to a senior manager (team lead) in New York.
- Interact with developers locally and globally.
- Collaborate with other teams as a supplier, provider, and partner.
Desired Skills:
- Strong analytical background and quantitative skills; fixed income market knowledge is a plus.
- Working experience with Kubernetes and infrastructure is a plus.
- Knowledge of Fixed Income Securities/Markets is a plus.
Education / Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields with high academic standing.
- Azure/AWS technologies certification is a plus.
Career Stage:

Compensation & Benefits:
LSEG offers competitive compensation and benefits. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $151,000 - $251,600. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. This role is eligible for an Annual Incentive Plan (bonus plan). Target AIP rates are commensurate with role level and career stage. Individual salary will reflect job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
