Senior Account Manager at LSEG

This advert is for talent pipelining purposes, meaning there is no immediate vacancy, but LSEG is actively building a pool for future opportunities. This Senior Account Manager position is responsible for maintaining deep customer relationships to drive account revenue retention and growth. By collaborating with internal and external partners, the Account Manager delivers outstanding service and valuable solutions for their customers. The role will manage a defined book of business aligned by customer segment within a geography and will be accountable for the commercial close of all deals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior client relationship owner for a set of large, complex, priority accounts, focusing on sales and retention.
  • Possess deep knowledge of key industry trends and effectively share LSEG's vision, demonstrating how the company can support client agendas.
  • Successfully engage and execute solution selling strategies to uncover new opportunities and collaborate effectively with product sales teams.
  • Lead the account planning process and define key near and long-term growth and retention strategies for assigned accounts.
  • Own pipeline hygiene, accurate sales and cancel forecasting, pipeline coverage tracking, and path-to-goal analysis for their accounts.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to increase deal sizes, negotiate longer-term deals, and secure more enterprise-wide contracts, articulating cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.
  • Be responsible for the customer lifecycle framework, ensuring a strong commercial strategy, efficient renewal execution, and minimizing cancellations.
  • Develop broad-reaching executive relationships and align with LSEG senior executives.
  • Delight customers, aiming for high satisfaction and health scores.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Extensive experience managing account relationships across multiple sectors and/or segments.
  • Extensive experience within an industry and/or product area relevant to LSEG.
  • Proven relationship building skills.
  • Sophisticated selling skills, including the ability to identify, develop, and articulate a complex proposition and apply consultative selling techniques.
  • Superior interpersonal skills, ability to develop and execute a sales plan, and high proficiency in using a variety of technology.
  • Strong problem-solving skills: ability to understand, articulate, structure, and solve client needs.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills: ability to deliver presentations and communicate effectively at all levels within an organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with other internal teams.
  • A university/college degree; equivalent experience may be considered, and an advanced degree may be preferred.
  • Significant work experience in an applicable industry and knowledge of customer workflow is required.
  • Account management, sales, or marketing experience in a customer-facing environment is required.
  • English speaking is required.
