Role Description

The CDSClear Senior Lead Engineer role involves building and leading a high-performing engineering team in Bucharest. You will drive the development of Java application components on AWS, collaborate with global teams in London and Paris, and deliver innovative solutions for CDSClear, a vital clearing service within LSEG.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end software delivery lifecycle using Agile or traditional methodologies.
  • Lead design and development of Java components on AWS.
  • Collaborate globally on architecture and design decisions.
  • Champion automation from testing to deployment for speed and quality.
  • Operate within a regulated financial environment, focusing on cybersecurity and production controls.

Candidate Profile / Key Skills

  • Expertise in Java enterprise application development.
  • Solid understanding of AWS and secure, resilient cloud solutions.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices including code scanning and container security.

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience deploying containerized applications in Kubernetes.
  • Terraform in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of observability tools like OpenSearch or DataDog.
  • AWS certifications (DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect) are an advantage.
