CDL Delivery Driver at Lowe's Companies, Inc.
As a CDL Delivery Driver at Lowe's, you will play a crucial role in providing SMART customer service, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining store safety. This position involves direct interaction with customers, meticulous handling of merchandise, and strict adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Customer Service
You will consistently provide exceptional customer service by understanding customer needs, assisting with merchandise, and offering knowledgeable responses to questions. This includes communicating detailed product information and coordinating effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules.

Responsibilities include planning delivery routes, pulling and banding merchandise, and loading trucks within payload limits. You will inspect products carefully before delivery and verify items against invoices to ensure accuracy.
Clean and Safe Stores
Ensuring loads are safe and compliant with DOT regulations is paramount. You will update delivery status on systems, unload and install appliances, and conduct daily vehicle inspections. Adherence to all safety protocols, maintenance of a clean work environment, and reporting security risks are also key responsibilities. Operating various store equipment as needed is part of the role.
Minimum Requirements:
- Class A CDL License (for multi-unit CMV) OR Class B CDL License with air brake endorsement (for single-unit CMV)
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment
- Ability to pass MVR screen in accordance with company requirements
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as required by law
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
- Must be 21 years of age
- Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations
Preferences:
- 1 Year Experience driving a semi-truck/trailer or certification from a driving school
- 6 Months Experience performing in-home delivery or retail customer service
- 3 Months Experience operating a forklift or Moffett onloading/offloading a vehicle
