The Forward Deployed Engineer Role
This is a unique opportunity to be the founding Forward Deployed Engineer at Lovable, creating a new function that blends engineering, product, customer success, and research. You will work directly with our most ambitious customers, translating complex ideas into real products and solving unprecedented problems with AI. This role is for those who want to invent new categories, not just refine existing ones.
What You Will Do
- Work directly with customers to understand their workflows, needs, and problems.
- Design and implement solutions that integrate with Lovable for our customers.
- Translate insights from real usage into foundational platform improvements.
- Own projects end-to-end, from idea and architecture to shipping and iteration.
- Shape how Forward Deployed Engineering functions at Lovable, including rituals, playbooks, and organizational design.
- Contribute to core product strategy, technical decisions, and cultural foundations.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience building and shipping full-stack products.
- Proficiency in modern frontend (React/TypeScript) and robust backend development.
- Strong architectural thinking and familiarity with distributed systems.
- Ability to rapidly prototype, experiment, and learn from real usage.
- Exceptional product intuition and ability to work directly with users.
- Comfort operating in high-ambiguity, high-agency environments.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with agentic AI systems or building with LLMs.
- Led zero-to-one product development.
- Worked in a founding or early startup environment.
