Forklift Operator and Material Handler - Second Shift
Louisa Food Products, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator / Material Handler for our second shift warehouse operations. This role is crucial in our fast-paced food processing environment, involving the assembly and packaging of products. The position requires working in a cold freezer storage area, with a starting salary of $21.00 per hour, increasing to $22.25 after one year. Eligible employees can also receive semi-annual bonuses after one year, along with other bonus programs.
Key Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Receiving, storing, handling, and shipping a variety of products and ingredients.
- Supplying the Production Department with required materials and ingredients.
- Maintaining neat and clean assigned storage areas.
- Working in dry goods storage, cooler, and freezer storage areas.
- Completing paperwork accurately and communicating in English.
- Performing overtime as needed on short notice.
- Demonstrating strong teamwork skills.
Physical Demands / Work Environment
This role requires the ability to:
- Stand for prolonged periods.
- Operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, deep reach trucks, and hand jacks.
- Lift up to 80 lbs.
- Work in variable temperatures, including very hot and very cold conditions.
- Navigate wet and slippery floors; appropriate footwear is mandatory.
- Wear company-provided safety hearing protection due to plant noise.
- Pass a post-employment physical functional test.

Minimum Qualifications
- Good basic math skills.

- One year of stand-up deep reach forklift experience.

- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
