Your Role as a Trend & Innovation Insights Specialist
As a pivotal link between the market and global innovation strategy, you will identify and analyze the latest beauty trends, screening new products across skincare, makeup, hair, and fragrance to uncover powerful, data-driven insights. You will connect product claims, novel ingredients, innovative packaging, and evolving communication styles with quantitative data from market data and social analytics to articulate key macro and micro-trends shaping the industry.
- Global Ambassador for K-Beauty Trends: As a primary conduit for K-beauty intelligence, you will proactively identify unique trends, innovations, and consumer behaviors originating from Korea and effectively communicate their global potential to international DMI, R&I, and CMI counterparts.
- Identification of Innovation Opportunities: Discover untapped market opportunities and potential areas for disruption. By providing a data-driven perspective on future consumer needs, you will contribute directly to maintaining L’Oréal’s competitive advantage and leadership position in the beauty industry.
- Social Dashboard Leadership: Oversee the internal social dashboard by managing our partner agency and actively monitor consumer conversations, competitor activities, and emerging micro-trends, translating these signals into proactive insights.
Professional & Technical Competencies
- Consumer Centricity: Deep curiosity and empathy for consumer behavior and the psychological drivers behind beauty choices.
- Natural Trend-Spotter: Insatiable curiosity about the world and its evolving trends, not just in beauty but across culture, technology, and society. Ability to connect disparate dots to see what's on the horizon.
- Data-driven Storyteller: Proficiency in interpreting complex data sets; passionate about finding the "why" behind the numbers and can translate data into a compelling story that inspires action.
- Digital Savvy: Strong interest in digital ecosystems, social media trends, and new data intelligence tools.
- Impactful Communication: Strong storytelling skills and the ability to influence diverse audiences with clarity and conviction.
- Proactive & Entrepreneurial: Highly self-motivated and autonomous with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
