The Role
We are hiring a Senior n8n Automation Engineer to design, build, and optimize high-leverage automations across our tech stack. Working directly with the founder, Darold, and a small, fast-moving team, you will create internal tools and workflows that power our business operations. This role is part-time friendly with potential to scale into full-time. Results are measured by output, not hours.
What You’ll Do
- Architect and build automations using n8n, Zapier, and custom API connections.
- Design efficient workflows integrating tools like Google Sheets, Slack, Typeform, Airtable, Stripe, ClickFunnels, and MarketDash.
- Create error-resistant systems with smart retries, error handling, and data validation.
- Maintain clean documentation and version control.
- Build dashboards and alerts for monitoring key automations.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify bottlenecks and automate manual tasks.
- Continuously improve workflows using AI-assisted tools such as Cursor and Claude Code.
Who We’re Looking For
- 4+ years experience in automation, integration or operations engineering.
- Deep expertise in n8n including core node design, expressions, webhook triggers, and modular flows.
- Strong understanding of APIs, OAuth, webhooks and data transformation (JSON, CSV, etc.).
- Expertise in building advanced automations with multi-step logic, conditional routing, and error recovery.
- Experience integrating AI APIs (OpenAI, Claude, Perplexity, etc.).
- Excellent written communication and async collaboration skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Part-time friendly if you deliver fast.
Bonus Points
- Experience building automation systems for SaaS, education, or finance products.
- Knowledge of the stock market or trading software.
- Background in TypeScript, Python, or Next.js for custom node creation.
- Familiarity with Trigger.dev, AWS Lambda, or background job processing.
- Strong sense for system design and data flow architecture.
