We are looking for a Junior Data Engineer with a burning desire to learn and develop within modern data solutions, with an emphasis on AI applications and data visualization!
The Role of a Junior Data Engineer
Our data development team is seeking an enthusiastic Junior Data Engineer. You will be part of diverse projects where you get to develop data integrations and APIs, and build the foundation for analytics and AI solutions. We hope you bring expertise in data visualization and reporting to the team. A background in software development is an advantage, as it allows you to get more deeply involved in more varied development tasks.
Our clientele includes actors in the finance, industry, and retail sectors, and we currently have several new customer relationships starting, with whom we will begin cooperation. At Loikka, we primarily do project work, meaning we own our customer relationships and aim for long-term partnerships.
What We Look For
- Genuine interest in data and its utilization.
- Experience working with data gained through studies or hobbies.
- Basic understanding and experience with SQL databases.
- Interest and willingness to learn modern data technologies (e.g., Databricks or similar are a plus).
- Understanding of data lakes and the basics of data automation pipelines (e.g., through studies or assignments).
- Programming skills, especially in Python.
- Understanding of the basics of statistical methods and their application (especially in AI and analytics projects).
- Interest in data visualization and reporting (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools are a plus).
- Good interaction skills with both clients and developers in Finnish and English.
