About the Role

This position will be responsible for supporting category management and sourcing operations for our Major retail client, located in Norfolk, VA. Core responsibilities will include working closely with Client and LogicSource category management and strategic sourcing stakeholders to ensure streamlined sourcing operational procedures from project ideation and reporting to event execution and proper contract management. Scope of work will fall across multiple spend categories (including Corporate Services, Distribution & Logistics, Facilities, Design & Construction, Information Technology, Marketing Print and Services, FF&E, Clinical Services, and Tail Spend), category reporting (spend, savings, lead times, supplier management) and acting as a conduit to our Shared Services Center in Westport, CT. As a key member of our Client Services team, this person will be reporting to the Managing Director, Sourcing and Procurement.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing operations across all indirect spend categories and strategic initiatives, driving compliance, efficiency, and value.
• Oversee sourcing operations to ensure efficient procurement processes and cost optimization.
• Develop and enforce sourcing policies and procedures ensuring compliance with company standards, supplier contracts, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance including onboarding, scorecarding, and driving continuous improvement.
• Partner with category managers and business stakeholders to align sourcing operations with strategic objectives and identify opportunities for savings and value creation.
• Lead or support operational redesign initiatives to uncover alternate change management opportunities that deliver incremental value.
• Lead process improvement initiatives (automation, data analytics, contract lifecycle management) to increase efficiency and transparency in sourcing operations.
• Provide reporting and insights on spend, savings, supplier risk, and operational performance to senior leadership.
• Interface with LogicSource OneMarket technology platforms (Insights – analytics, Portfolio – project management) as well as Client CLM and P2P systems.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing & procurement of goods and services.
• Healthcare procurement experience is a plus.
• Managing employees and working within teams.
• Experience within services industries (e.g., professional consulting, BPO, outsourcing).
• Strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to build relationships and gain credibility in areas beyond defined scope of work.
• Demonstrated ability to work within an evolving and dynamic environment.
• Proficient in MS Office applications including PowerPoint and Excel/financial analysis and planning.
• Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
• Experience with e-sourcing software (Oracle, SAP Ariba, Coupa or other cloud-based systems) is a plus.
