Overview
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Pilot Subject Matter Expert & Pilot Vehicle Interface Engineer to join its Pilot Systems Engineering group. This position specializes in the F-16 program with opportunities to support 5th Generation and Advanced Development Programs (ADP).
Basic Qualifications
Experience flying the F-16, technical degree or technology development/test experience, and active DoD Secret clearance are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and design innovative PVI mechanizations and pilot/human engineering for tactical cockpits.
- Participate in design reviews, system test, and flight test reviews.
- Work closely with pilots, engineers, and simulation technicians to design, implement, evaluate, and document PVI mechanizations.
- Author and publish Pilot’s Guides and contract deliverables on enhanced aircraft capabilities.
- Provide SME guidance to simulations, Cockpit Review Teams, and support platform roadmap planning.
Additional Requirements
High-level knowledge of 4th Generation fighters, advanced fighter flying skills and combat operations concepts. Must be a US Citizen and have DoD Top Secret clearance. Experience in Weapons School, Instructor, or Standardization Evaluation pilot roles is a plus. Ability to work remotely and perform onsite work at a designated Lockheed Martin facility in Fort Worth, TX.
