Material Logistics Coordinator at Lockheed Martin
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Material Logistics Coordinator to support multiple programs and spares requirements at the Sikorsky site in Stratford, CT. This role will assist the Harness Assembly, Electronic Assembly, and Wire Processing manufacturing areas.
Basic Qualifications
- 1 or more years of related experience, potentially with a related degree.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience working with Supply Chain processes.
Primary Responsibilities
The Material Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for planning, preparing, issuing, and controlling production schedules. They will coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials, timed to meet production demands. Key duties include:
- Coordinating material movement between warehouse/storeroom and production areas.
- Advising management on work-in-progress status, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure necessary personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided.
- Scheduling equipment and personnel, confirming material supply and demands.
- Preparing work orders or purchase requests for component production or purchase based on master production schedules, shop load, and inventory requirements.
- Coordinating interdepartmental activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, and contracts administration.
- Scheduling and expediting the movement of parts using move orders, stock transfers, and shipping order requests.

- Ability to multi-task effectively.
- Experience with SAP.
