The Role of a Cyber Security Engineer
As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will lead the integration of modern cybersecurity solutions across multiple Stratford programs. This critical role involves ensuring our systems are not only effective but also highly resilient against evolving threats.
Key Responsibilities
- Cybersecurity Design & Implementation: Decompose Statements of Work (SOW) into actionable, cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions. Design and oversee the implementation of critical cybersecurity capabilities.
- Collaboration & Strategy Development: Work with internal and external teams to enhance Cyber Resiliency across a portfolio of Rotary programs.
- Cybersecurity Leadership: Lead efforts to streamline the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and accelerate Authority to Operate (ATO) approvals.
- Security Lifecycle Oversight: Oversee the development of cybersecurity artifacts, ensuring compliance with industry standards like NIST 800-53. Lead efforts to achieve and maintain ATO for systems and technologies.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field with 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience leading Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Cyber threat assessments.
- Familiarity with model-based systems engineering and Cameo modeling.
- Knowledge and usage of Systems Engineering processes and the System Engineering “V”.
- Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 / 8140 certification required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance at the Secret level.
- Effective collaboration skills with internal & external customers.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%.
Desired Skills
- Master's degree with 5+ years experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with security architecture design, security audit tools, security requirements generation, and security testing.
- Experience using Security Center/ACAS – Assured Compliance Assessment Solution.
- Familiarity with RTCA DO-356.
- Experience navigating and securing Linux and Windows environments.
- Ability to analyze security reports and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
