Role Overview
The Senior Analyst FP&A is a key member of the finance team responsible for building and enhancing Lob’s financial model. You will deliver mission-critical insights through forecasting, strategic decision support, and comprehensive financial analysis.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and enhance Lob’s company financial model.
- Monitor annual budget progress and update forecasts with functional leaders.
- Prepare monthly reporting packages and provide detailed financial analysis.
- Assist management with evaluating strategic initiatives and M&A opportunities.
- Standardize reporting across departments to influence key stakeholders.
- Provide analytical support for sales, marketing, operations, and product teams.
- Create meaningful presentations for management, the Board, and investors.
- Execute ad hoc business-critical reports and analyses.
What You Will Bring
- 4-8 years of relevant professional experience in analytical roles.
- Experience in consulting, investment banking, or private equity.
- Operational finance experience in high-growth, consumption-based businesses.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, and Google Slides.
- Exceptional analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Experience with financial modeling, research, and presentation creation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to tackle ambiguous challenges.
Nice-to-Haves
- Cross-functional experience and Master’s in Finance or related fields.
- Hands-on experience with MPP databases like Redshift and BigQuery.
- Proficiency with NetSuite, FP&A software, and AI tools for finance.
- Skills in SQL, Looker, R, or Python.
Additional Information
This position is open only to US remote-based candidates willing to work in Eastern or Central time zones. Lob offers a competitive base salary plus Restricted Stock Units, comprehensive benefits, and remote working opportunities across multiple states in the US.
